Cannabis Sales Will Be Discussed At a Hearing by The Connecticut General Assembly!

The direction of the marijuana industry in Connecticut is being debated by state officials on a number of different fronts. Six weeks after the state’s legalized recreational marijuana sales, the General Assembly is now holding public hearings on two significant measures. Deductions for company expenditures are part of potential legislation for the cannabis industry.

It, according to the Connecticut Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, would level the playing field for the state’s authorized marijuana firms. Kebra Smith-Bolden, the CEO of NoirEnVerte, said, “As a cannabis social equity licensee that was just approved, I and other social equity licensees have experienced several challenges.”

“From trying to acquire properties and navigating each municipality’s zoning and permission process to having partners and investors to just engage in this sector.” A public hearing on hemp licenses and the adult-use cannabis industry will be held by the general law committee.
