28,000 Marijuana Plants Were Seized From A Facility in Oklahoma!
Two marijuana grow sites in Payne County, Oklahoma, were seized on Thursday by state authorities as part of an ongoing effort to eradicate illegal marijuana production in the state. Mark Woodward, a spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, described the group as “extremely intricate,” adding, “These folks are related to dangerous criminal organizations.”
Around 28,000 plants and approximately 500 pounds of processed marijuana were seized, per Woodward’s estimates. According to Woodward, the two businesses that were targeted by the highway 51 raid are located roughly a mile apart. He also mentioned that both are associated with the same probe into illegal marijuana cultivation and distribution networks operating under false pretenses.
Although “they try to look respectable on the surface,” as Woodward put it, “100% of their product is being sold illegally,” and most of it is sold outside of Oklahoma. To add insult to injury, “then the money being laundered internationally by these criminal groups.”
Mark Woodward claims that one person has been detained thus far. He indicated further arrests would be made, though it was unclear how many. Those people are “extremely excellent at disguising what they do and who is engaged,” Woodward said.
“Oftentimes, we’ve identified prostitution rings, gambling rings, and other illegal enterprises that are related to these people that are operating these farms in our state.” Krystal Spitler Kuehl calls this place home. In an interview with KFOR on Thursday, she said that she doesn’t think anyone would miss the surgeries.
Spitler Kuehl claimed, “I knew the individuals that surrounding the grow who lived down in the valley had complained that sometimes their house would stink like marijuana so terrible, there’s nothing they could do about it.” I really want these thugs off the street, so I hope the police aren’t letting up on their crackdown.
