Two Baton Rouge Individuals Were Apprehended in California Transporting Over 200 Pounds of Marijuana!

A California police officer detained two Baton Rouge residents after allegedly finding them in possession of a significant amount of marijuana, according to the department.

The Redding Police Department said that an officer grew concerned when he observed a rental car parked at a petrol station on Eureka Way in Redding.

The officer spoke with Baton Rouge residents Andrew Williams, 32, and Chantel Knox, 32, and observed many obvious large black bags in the backseat of the vehicle.

The bags, which the police department claims were clearly filled with marijuana, were also taken into custody, along with two firearms that were found under the suspects. The packages contained about 215 pounds of marijuana, according to the authorities.

Williams was accused by the Redding Police Department of having marijuana for sale, driving with a concealed weapon, and having a pistol in his possession while a felon. Knox received citations for both carrying a concealed weapon and having marijuana intended for sale.
