A Man Is Charged With Marijuana Distribution After Escaping From A Traffic Stop!

After escaping from a traffic stop, a man was later accused of having marijuana intended for sale. The Davie Sheriff’s Office charged Travis Dane Irick, of, on March 15 with felony marijuana possession, reckless driving, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, fleeing to elude arrest in a vehicle, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.
He was imprisoned in lieu of a $20,000 bond, pending his initial court appearance on April 6 in Davie District Court. Deputies attempted to pull over the car passing Irick for traffic infractions on Cornatzer Road, close to Fork Bixby Road, according to Chief Deputy Brian Jacobs.
The driver of the car “did not stop and fled from authorities on Fork Bisby Road, driving toward Hwy. 64 East at a high rate of speed,” according to Jacobs. Eventually, the suspect pulled over, and according to Jacobs, numerous packages of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia indicative of drug sales were discovered inside the car.
