In Connecticut, Recreational Marijuana Sales Will Start in January 2023.!

In Connecticut, sales of cannabis for adults who want to use it for fun will soon be legal.

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has told licensed hybrid retailers that they can start selling cannabis products to adults over 21 starting at 10 a.m. on January 10.

The most that can be sold at one time is 1/4 ounce of cannabis flower or its equivalent.

Which Kinds of Marijuana Can Be Sold Legally in Connecticut?

Here Are Some Examples of What 1/4 Ounce of Cannabis Flower or Its Equivalent Could Look Like:

  • Up to 7 Cigarettes that Are Already Rolled and Weigh 1 Gram Each, or 14 Cigarettes that Are Already Rolled and Weigh 0.5 Gram Each. or Any Mix up To 7 Grams Total, Which Is 1/4 Ounce.
  • Two to Four Cartridges for Vaping, Which Come In.
  • Sizes of 5 ML and 1 ML.
  • There Are Many Kinds and Sizes of Food. .08 Grams of Cannabis Flower Is About the Same as A Standard-Sized Brownie or Cookie. There Can’t Be More than 5 Milligrams of Thc in A Serving that Can Be Eaten.
  • A Mix of Different Products that Don’t Add up To More than 14 of An Ounces as A Whole.

Patients in The Medical Marijuana Program Should Buy Any Medicine They Need Before January 10 or at one of the nine medical-only dispensaries in the state, since the hybrid stores are likely to have long lines and a lot of traffic during the first weeks of adult-use sales.
